What is up guys, today I am bringing you another mod that I have really wanted to release for a long time. This mod adds more uses for slimes, besides just allowing you to make sticky pistons.

I have always wanted more uses for slimes since I first got Minecraft, and with my character/player in minecraft being a slime, I thought, what the heck, why not.

Now before you go and say this is unoriginal, I am aware that there is a slime mod out there currently that does a ton more than this one, but, this one is going to be entirely different.

Goals for the Useful Slimes Mod

Tools

Weapons

Easter eggs (the hidden suprises)

A super slimy dimension? ;)

The Useful Slimes Mod Currently Adds:

1 Ingot- The Slime Ingot

2 Blocks - Slime Block, Slimy Lamp

Slimy String

Slimy Stick

Slimy Bow

Slimy Knife

Slimy Sword

A custom creative tab.
Currently Working on Adding

Installing the Useful Slimes Mod

To install the Useful Slimes mod all you have to do is install Forge and drag the Useful Slimes mod zip that you downloaded, into your mods folder at %appdata%/.minecraft/mods. (On a PC atleast, still haven't purchased my Mac so I can't tell you Mac players what to do)

All you have to do basically is install it like any other Forge mod.

Bugs/Glitches

The Sword is named The Slimy Knife, instead of The Slimy Sword. (Fixed, yet still occasionally happening.)

Please report other bugs in the comments.

A note about one of my other mods

I posted a mod called the Gigamod a while back, and then I removed it, that is because I realized that my mod didn't even run in minecraft. Derp, I know.

The usual end of post stuff xD

Don't forget to leave a diamond if you like the mod, and you could even leave a favorite if you really like it!

Be sure to leave a comment with suggestions and with feedback on the mod. I was thinking about making a boss mob later on in the mods future, what do you think? Tell me down below!!

Don't forget to subscribe for updates, but remember, STAY AWESOME!!!

Finally a mod that makes slimeballs more useful...
Haha, a mod that makes slime's useful. Minecraft 1.8 is a update that makes this mod practically useless. xD

I am working on another mod right now, and will be releasing it soon, so keep posted!
BEST MOD EVER!!! Well.. It looks really good, and has anyone done a review of it? Upload this mod to the Technic Launcher, send me the link! Also, don't forget about the splash milk, if you haven't already... (Shh.... It's a million dollar idea)
Hey lordghostfreak,

Don't plan on making a mudpack out of this mod just yet, working on the next update, it is just taking a long time. I am not forgetting the milk, thanks for the comment! I really appreciate it!

Joyously,

AwesomeMin3r2000 (Your fellow staff member of SilverCraft)
Hai,
Ok, I can wait. Maybe use all of your mods for teh modpack, if so, you need to think up a name, ask No_face, he's pretty good with that kinda stuff. (At least from my experience, that is) 1_fishi came up with the milk idea, it's brilliant, he's big on PvP, so I can see where he's coming from. You're welcome for whatever I did, if anything at all...

lordghostfreak (The guy from SilverCraft who's a total boss, co-owner, and dude)
Can I use this in a modpack?
What mods do you plan to use with it? I will have to make a version that is compatible with other mods (as far as item ids ect,)...
I'll PM you a list.
Are you still going to PM me a list? I have been waiting...

Ok, make sure you add more slimes, pet slimes and slippy slime slides .3.
-.-

You can suggest those things, but do not say, make sure you add them... Be patient for the next update.

Can you tell (or show) me how to make a mod! I really want to make one. Great mod btw!
Basically what Cool-Fiter7 said, with a little bit more emphasis on the 'time and dedication'. Making a mod is not easy, unless you want to be a cheat and want to use MCreator or something like that.

Now the difficulty of developing a mod will change depending on what API you choose to use, ModLoader is easier, but forge allows for many more things to be done.

You have to learn Java before you can do anything in the mod making business. So basically the steps are below:

  • Learn Java
  • Learn to expand Java
  • Choose and API
  • Learn the tools you will need to code your mod
  • Learn the API that you chose
  • Code a beginners mod
  • Learn from that
  • Then start on the advanced stuff

Now whether or not you want to take all the time to do that or not is strictly up to you, but that is my way of making mods. A little sneak peak, I am writing my own mod API, so you might wait until that is out... Your choice.
There are tons of tutorials that you can look up on google. The programming language (I think should be used primarily in order to make a minecraft mod, there might be another alternative, or might not be) is java. Be forewarned, you will need time and dedication to learn java (unless you are a fast learner, due to all the variables), but even more of that put into a mod, to code and perfect it the way you truly want to. Also, here is more info that you might need if you plan on making and uploading your mod on planetminecraft, which is you need to use eclipse to code your mods. I don't know the other specifications on the other sites, and I won't pretend to know. Good Luck if you plan on making a mod :)

Hey Min3r, I have some ideas for the mod. Effects for the slimy weaponry? i.e. the bow shoots arrows (slimy, to fit) that causes the entity shot at to slide around as if it were on ice (or add slowness effect)
Good idea, will be working on some improvements to the mod very soon. I work on the mod a little everyday.

Thank you for the suggestion!

I'm probably going to do a mod showcase on this. my channel is www.youtube.com/thebluecrewpros
Ok, if you want you can. As long as you can link this PMC page in the description of it. Thanks.
When this mod gets a little more complete, would you mind if I did a mod showcase on it?
I am not really worried about a mod showcase right now, but feel free to make one.

Maybe be able to throw slimeballs at mobs to slow them down? eh? ^_^
I am working on throwable slimeballs, and the idea for slowing mobs down is absolutely great, however that might not happen in the next update, but I will try to add it!

Thanks for the comment and recommendation!!
No Problem! ;)
Dude. You're good as me! :D
How to make mods?
You want to learn how to make mods? I will try to make some tutorials for you.
^v^ Great! Thanks, budd!

But the block isin't even well textured and they both don't do anything.
I'd work on this if i were you.
Like I have said many times, this is a work in progress. I am working on better textures for the blocks, and in the upcoming update, the stuff actually will do stuff. Be patient please.

However I do thank you for the feedback, and I love your work btw.
