The Steve skin below has the ears outlined in red. The red box is also part of the ear (the outside part), so copy your skin over the steve skin and start changing the way your ears look :)

Updated to 1.4.2 And works just as expected which is flawlessly
Sever version coming soon. (Minecraft_server.jar first Then bukkit if wanted by popular demand)
On the server the ears will only show if you are op.... and another version which everyone has it (not yet sure if a client will be required but most likely not.)
Bukkit will have a config for which users get the ears... and an enable/disable function. (maybe spout but we will see)
