Materials Alternatives is a mod for 1.20.1 Forge that adds alternatives to collect some materials.

Rock
Can be crafted with 1 Gravel to obtain 4 Rocks or 1 Cobblestone to obtain 9 Rocks or can be pickup when destroy dirt with a pourcent of chance.
Can be used to craft Gravel with 4 Rocks/Flints, or Cobblestone with 9 Rocks/Flints.
You can destroy Gravel to pickup Rock.
You can make a right click on a stone/cobblestone block (Cobblestone, Stone, Netherrack, Blackstone, Deepslate, Cobbled Deepslate, Basalt) with the Rock in your hand to break it and have a little pourcent of chance to have an Overworld's ore.

Leaf
There a Leaf (as an individual item) with each tree (instead of Nether trees) when a leaves block is destroyed.
You can craft a leaves block with 4 leaf items, but for the Flowering Azalea Leaves you have to put 2 Azalea Leaf items and 2 Azalea Flowers.

You can pickup Cotton when right click on a mature Coton Plant.
Used to craft 2 Strings with 1 Cotton.

Crafted with Fluroite.
Used to craft Fluorite Powder Block with 9 Fluorite Powders and Fluorite with 1 Fluorite, Two Fluorites with 2 Fluorites, Three Fluorites with 3 Fluorites and Four Fluorites with 4 Fluorites.
Can be used to craft Cyan Dye.

Like the normal Flint but you have to destroy Nether Gravel to pickup it.

Like normal Rock but you have to destroy Nether Gravel to pickup it or use 1 Nether Gravel to craft 4 Nether Rocks or 1 Netherrack to craft 9 Nether Rocks.
If you break the Nether Rock on a stone/cobblestone block (Cobblestone, Stone, Netherrack, Blackstone, Deepslate, Cobbled Deepslate, Basalt) you can have Nether's ore with a little pourcent of chance.

Picked up when destroyed Netherrack Obsidian Chunk in The Nether.

Netherrack tools and sword
There is Netherrack Sword, Netherrack Pickaxe, Netherrack Axe, Netherrack Shovel and Netherrack Hoe crafted with Netherrack, are like Stone tools and sword but has less durability (Netherrack is less hard)
End Stone tools and sword
There is End Stone Sword, End Stone Pickaxe, End Stone Axe, End Stone Shovel and End Stone Hoe crafted with End Stone , are like Stone tools and sword but has more durability (End Stone is more hard).

Fluorites
Fluorite is a block that can be picked by destroying Fluorite Ore/Deepslate Fluorite Ore between 1 and 4 Fluorites.
There is 4 forms of Fluorite :
You can pick up each fully block when sneaking or if you use Silk Touch, or just pick up Fluorites (1 Fluorite when destroy Fluorite, 2 Fluorites when destroy Two Fluorites, 3 Fluorites when destroy Three Fluorites and 4 Fluorites when destroy Four Fluorites) if you are not sneaking or don't use Silk Touch.
Can be crafted with 2 Fluorite Powders
You can craft 2 Fluorite Powders with 1 Fluorite.
You can combine each form on Fluorite to make another form of Fluorite (example : 1 Fluorite + Three Fluorites = Four Fluorites)

Fluorite Powder Block
Like Fluorite Block but is crafted with 9 Fluorite Powders and can be uncrafted to have 9 Fluorite Powders and have gravity like Sand or Gravel.
Clean Dirt
Is picked when destroying normal Dirt with a pourcent of chance and pickup Rock in the same time.
Can be crafted with 1 normal Dirt and 2 Rocks.
Can be crafted with 1 normal Dirt and 2 Rocks.
Nether Iron Ore
Can be found in The Nether like Nether Gold Ore.
You can pick up Iron Nuggets.

Netherrack Obsidian Chunk
As a ore can be found in The Nether to pickup Obsidian Chunks to craft Obsidian, can only be mined with Iron Pickaxe or better.
Nether Gravel
Can be found in The Nether like Gravel, but have Nether Rock and Nether Flint.
Ender Wood
You can craft Ender Planks with 4 normal Chorus.

Azalea Flowers
Can be picked up when destroy Flowering Azalea Leaves.
Can be placed like a block and be used to craft Mangeta Dye.

Can be crafted by 8 with 1 Ghast Tear and 8 Obsidians around.
Torches
Can be crafted with Fiber/Wheat/Cotton instead of Coal/Charcoal.
Gunpowder
Can be crafted with 4 Pieces of Gunpowder (crafted with Coal (not Charcoal)).
Leather
Can be crafted with 4 Rotten Fleshes.
Gravel
Can be crafted with 4 Flints/Rocks.
Cobblestone
Can be crafted with 9 Rocks.
Netherrack
Can be crafted with 9 Nether Rocks.
Leaves
Leaves can be crafted with 4 Leaf items of their tree type (you have to use 4 Pink Petals for Cherry Leaves and use 2 Azalea Leaf items and 2 Azalea Flowers for Flowering Azalea Leaves).
Saddle
Saddle can be crafted with 3 Leathers on the top, 2 Strings/Fibers Strings in the center on the sides and 2 Iron Nuggets in the bottom on the sides.
Glass
Glass can be crafted with 9 Quartz.
Glass Bottle
Glass Bottle can be crafted with 3 Quartz but you pickup only 1 Glass Bottle.
Flowering Azalea Leaves
Can be crafted also with 1 Azalea Leaves surrounded by 4 Azalea Flowers as well that use 2 Azalea Leaf items and 2 Azalea Flowers.
Cyan Dye
Can also be crafted with 1 Fluorite Powder.
Magenta Dye
Can also be crafted with 1 Azalea Flowers.
Stick
Stick is now crafted by 8 instead of 4.
Slime Ball
Can be crafted with 1 Water Bucket, 1 Kelp/Cactus and 1 Wheat/Clay Ball/Fibers
Other Thing :
Crying Obsidian
Can be turned into a normal Obidian when right clicked with Shears.

- Modified Piece of Gunpowder craft that needs now 1 Flint and 1 Blaze Powder and can use 1 Charcoal instead of Coal
