The Minecraft Screen Destroyer

... is a program I started programming today (9/7/12). It's a game-type thingy that can't do much with yet since it's early alpha, you could say. All you do is destroying your screen and making the exciting world behind it visible. xD
If you want to support this project and you want me to continue it, please comment and tell me what YOU want to have added!

I guess I should mention this:
The program is extremely CPU intense, it can take up to 50% so be careful with using it on slow or weak PCs.

On popular demand, I have added texture packs to the Desktop Destroyer. Just post any texture pack you made for this and want to share in the comments with a download link and it will be added to this list:

Known Bugs


  • TNT Sound effects are 1-2 sec. late
  • sometimes TNT will leave crack animations


Questions that may occur:



Q: Does this work on Mac or Linux?
A: No, only Windows. A Linux version could be possible, but I can't compile for Mac because I don't HAVE a Mac.
If any Mac user here either already knows python or is ready to learn it, I'm looking for someone who will edit the
programs until they run on Mac and then compile it to an App.

Q: I get a Tcl Error or an Error window!?
A: Unzip the file!

Q: How do I exit!?
A: Press Alt+F4


Q: How do I change Texture Pack!?
A: Move a folder with your own textures (Tutorial on the way) to dist/texturepacks and then start the "configTP.exe".

Q: How do I change Tool!?
A: Scroll with your mouse wheel or use the number keys.

Linux and mac are basically the something...if I knew python I could make u a mac (and Linux) on my pear Linux (aka pear os)

The problem is I use some windows-dependant stuff in the code, otherwise I'd already have uploaded a linux version

you need using 7-ZIP to avoid theese errors beacuse winrar thinks that 7zip format is corrupted

I had a look - there appear to be multiple problems:
- The website went down (not my fault and only temporarily)
- The provider may have changed some settings which affect the downloads
