what should it do when powered though ?
well, there's a few different options.
It could become somewhat of a boss, like the wither storm or something.
It could execute a command, set by the player somehow, similar to how the command block minecart works, but with AI.
Or it could replicate the behavior of a mob of the player's choosing.
whatever you do with it though, think about the traits of the command block transfer to the sulfur cube. This is why I like the boss idea, because in MC story mode, the command block is programed to almost destroy Gabriel, and it disobeys its creator, Ivor.
This might work similarly in the game when the command block is placed inside the sulfur cube and powered, the command block, with its newfound body might control the sulfur cube, making it hostile.
Now the player has to defeat the boss to stop the command block.
Unless you want the feature to serve a lighter purpose instead of something groundbreaking.
