Welcome



Hello and welcome to the Spring for Craftables addon — a very simple addon that quite simply adds crafting recipes for over 160 vanilla items that were previously deemed uncraftable.



Explore areas you would never usually travel to, collect items that you would never usually use, and maybe even cause chaos, especially with the addition of crafting recipes for almost every mob in the game (as of v1.26), as well as the mob spawner.



Can seem very overpowered, but there is always the option of getting the items the way you are intended to.



This first addon — although it was easy to make — has been an absolute joy to develop, so I would enjoy it very much if you downloaded this and played around with it like I did (I mean it's free).



And keep a look out, for there are more addons on the way.



I don't plan on updating this addon, I think I've included every recipe that would be needed, If you believe otherwise, be sure to let me know (I may or may not update it anyway).

Crafting Command Items



Some of the items that are usually only obtainable with commands, have also been made obtainable with their new custom recipes. Included in the list of craftable items is the NPC spawn egg and COMMAND BLOCKS.



"But why have a recipe for command blocks when you can't even use them in survival?"



Well, as an additional mechanic with this addon, I have made comand blocks usable in survival mode, simply holding a command block or looking at the command block infront of you will set your game mode to creative, allowing you to interact with it. looking away from it or taking it out of your hand, resets your game mode.



While in survival mode, the recipe for the NPC spawn egg can be seen in the crafting menu of a crafting table. This is the only command item visible in the menu, because the spawn egg (in this addon) is a custom item made by me.



Alongside this addon, I will have a map uploaded. This map is my testing world for this addon, which also shows every recipe, as well as the command block mechanics that make the addon work.



The recipes for the command blocks are also teased on the included notebook (if you would prefer to discover the recipes yourself), which is written about below. ↓

The Notebook



When first entering a world with this addon enabled, all players will be given a placable notebook, a small information leaflet going over a few notes to take in. These notes include extra recipes, extra features, and development screenshots.



It may be useful to keep the notebook after your first read, as you may need to flick through it later on for the recipes.



If the book is lost, then it can be crafted again and the recipe can be found in the crafting menu.



Alongside this custom notebook, there is a wearable item (also craftable) that can be used as a kind of developer tool with the book. Wearing it while holding the "Ghost Book", teleports the closest note book infront of you, and continues to teleport when moving around. The notebook also faces the nearest player (within range) that is wearing the item.

Multiplayer



I have mananged to make the notebook fully functional with multiple players (I only tested with one extra player but it should be fine with more), or they can all group together and read one of the players' book.



Players are able to steal other players' notebooks by getting closer to it than the other player. Issue at first, but I thought that'll be cool, so I left it in.

Bugs



There is a bug with the ominous banner, where it will show as a white banner in the recipe that it is needed for in the crafting menu, this is because of how the data values work for the IDs of the two items. The ominous banner still works in the recipe and will still be needed.



If there turn out to be bugs that make the addon unplayable and more and more people comment about it, I will upload a fixed version. Otherwise, any minor bugs that don't ruin the whole addon, then whoops and oh well.
