Strength SMP S5
Strength SMP turns your world into a progression-based PvP SMP. Every player has a Strength level and a random Weapon Class. Strength is a real resource — you gain it from a craftable item, you lose it when another player kills you, and it drops on the ground for whoever killed you. Your class decides which weapon you are strong with, giving you a Passive and an Ultimate that unlock as your Strength goes up. And for the one player who can take it and keep it, there is the Crown.
No setup, no scoreboards, no commands required to start. Apply the packs and play.
How it works (the 60 second version)
- You start at Strength +1. Every level of Strength gives you +1 damage (half a heart) on everything you hit. Max is +5.
- You get one of 9 random Weapon Classes the first time you join — Trident, Mace, Spear, Armor, Crossbow, Sword, Bow, Axe or Shield. Check yours with
/strength:class.

- At Strength +2 your class Passive turns on. It is always active, you do not press anything.
- At Strength +4 you unlock your Ultimate. Hold your class weapon, crouch and right-click (or run
/strength:ability) to fire it off. Then it goes on cooldown.

- Die to another player and you lose a level — and a Strength Bottle pops out of you for them to pick up. Dying to mobs or fall damage costs you nothing.
- Wear the Crown and you are instantly max Strength with 20 hearts — until someone takes it off your head.

Your Strength is saved to you personally and follows you through death, respawns and relogs. It is shown to you in chat every time it changes, and
/strength:strength shows it any time you want to check.Losing and stealing Strength
- Killed by another player → you drop to the level below and spawn a Strength Bottle on your corpse. The killer can grab it and use it themselves.
- Killed by a mob, fall, lava, anything non-player → you keep everything (this is a config toggle if you want it harsher).
- You can also hand Strength to a teammate with
/strength:withdraw <amount>— it pulls levels off you and drops them as bottles.

The Crown (legendary)
The Crown is a legendary helmet that can't be crafted. Admins decide how it enters the world — give it out as an event prize, hide it, or hand it to the first champion (
/give @s strength:crown, it is also in the creative Equipment tab).- Put it on: your Strength jumps straight to the max (+5), so your Passive and Ultimate are unlocked no matter what level you were, and you get Health Boost V — 10 extra hearts, 20 hearts total.
- Take it off: your real Strength comes right back to exactly what it was, and the extra hearts go away.
- No farming it: you can't drink Strength Bottles or use
/strength:withdrawwhile it's on — take it off first.
- No farming it: you can't drink Strength Bottles or use
- You can still lose: die to a player while wearing it and you still lose a level of your real Strength and drop a bottle like normal. The Crown drops with the rest of your gear, so whoever killed you can put it on themselves.
- As armor it has diamond-level protection, netherite durability, can be enchanted, and repairs with Netherite Ingots.
The 9 Weapon Classes
Your class works through its weapon. A Mace player swinging a sword is just a normal player. Armor works through the diamond armor you wear, and the Shield passive is always on.
| Class | Passive | Ultimate | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trident | Hits disable shields | Thunderstorm, lightning crits | 60s |
| Mace | Half the mace cooldown | Wind Burst II, no cooldown | 120s |
| Spear | 1.5x spear damage | Lunge | 30s |
| Armor | Diamond armor becomes netherite | No knockback, super golden apples | 90s |
| Crossbow | Shots pierce shields and ignite | Full auto, 2x damage | 60s |
| Sword | Combos turn on auto crits | Dual wield, 1.5x damage | 60s |
| Bow | Arrows give random debuffs | Teleport arrow | 60s |
| Axe | Crits stun | Store your hits, release them at once | 30s |
| Shield | 20% less damage taken | Immortal bubble | 60s |
Trident — cooldown 60s
- Passive: your trident hits disable the target's shield for 5 seconds, mainhand or offhand. They get a "SHIELD DISABLED" warning.
- Combat mode: the moment you hit someone or get hit, your trident switches to a melee version that attacks at sword speed. Right-click to turn it back into a normal trident you can throw, or just leave the fight — it turns back by itself after 10 seconds out of combat. Enchantments, name and durability carry over both ways.
- Ultimate (15s): summons a thunderstorm. For the duration, every crit (hitting while falling) calls down a lightning bolt on your target and deals 1.5x damage.
Mace — cooldown 120s
Read this one even if you are not the Mace class. This addon puts a 3 minute cooldown on the mace for everybody. Land a falling smash and your mace goes dead — while it is on cooldown, every mace hit you land deals zero damage, with a timer on your action bar. No more infinite one-shot smashes.
- Passive: your mace cooldown is 50% shorter — 1m 30s instead of 3m.
- Ultimate (30s): your mace gains Wind Burst II and has no cooldown at all for the duration. Smash as fast as you can swing. Your mace is locked in your inventory while it is buffed, and goes back to exactly how it was (original enchantments included) when it ends, or if you die.
Spear — cooldown 30s
- Passive: your spear attacks deal 1.5x damage.
- Ultimate (instant): lunge. Launches you hard in the direction you are looking — look forward to close a gap, look up to get out of one.
Armor — cooldown 90s
- Passive: all the diamond armor you wear becomes netherite, live, while you wear it. Durability, enchantments, custom name and lore are all carried over. It turns back into diamond the moment you take it off, drop it, lose the class, drop below Strength +2, or die, so nobody can farm free netherite off you.
- Ultimate (20s): you take no knockback from hits, and golden apples give you Absorption IV for 2 minutes instead of the usual pair of hearts. Stand your ground and eat.
Crossbow — cooldown 60s
- Passive: your shots go straight through raised shields (deals 6 damage and puts their shield on a 5s cooldown), and every arrow has a 25% chance to set the target on fire for 5 seconds.
- Ultimate (10s): full auto. Your crossbow fires an arrow every 0.25 seconds on its own, wherever you are looking, and all of your projectile damage is doubled for the duration.
Sword — cooldown 60s
- Passive: land a 3 hit combo and every hit you make for the next 5 seconds is an automatic crit dealing 1.5x damage — no jumping needed. Keep the combo going to keep it running. Getting hit resets your combo, so the trick is to hit without being hit back.
- Charging the ultimate: land a 5 hit combo to charge it. You get a "READY" ping, and it stays charged until you use it.
- Ultimate (15s): dual wield. A full 3D copy of your sword appears in your offhand — matching its material, from wooden to netherite, and visible to you and everyone around you. You leave a red trail, and all of your hits deal 1.5x damage — on top of the passive crits. Your offhand item comes back when it ends.
Bow — cooldown 60s
- Passive: anything your arrows hit gets a random debuff for 5 seconds — Slowness, Weakness, Mining Fatigue, Poison, Blindness, Nausea, Hunger or Darkness. Your action bar tells you what they got.
- Ultimate: teleport arrow. Your next arrow teleports you to wherever it lands — a block, a wall or a player. It stays armed until an arrow actually lands, so there is no timer to race.
Axe — cooldown 30s
- Passive: every 5th crit (hitting while falling) stuns your target, freezing them in place for a second.
- Charging the ultimate: land 7 crits to charge it. You get a "READY" ping, and it stays charged until you use it.
- Ultimate (5s): store and release. For 5 seconds your hits deal no damage — instead all of it is stored up, then released all at once on the last enemy you hit when the ultimate ends. Get as many hits in as you can.
Shield — cooldown 60s
- Passive: you take 20% less damage from everything. Always on, no shield needed.
- Ultimate (15s): immortal bubble. Hold a shield in either hand to activate it. A bubble forms around you and follows you, and you can't take damage at all for the duration.
Using your Ultimate
- Default trigger: crouch + right-click while holding your class weapon.
- Or use the command:
/strength:ability
- Or use the command:
- You need Strength +4. If you are short, it tells you exactly how many levels you still need.
- Sword and Axe have to charge up first by landing hits (see above). If you try too early, it tells you what you still need to land.
- You get a chat message when it starts and when it runs out, plus a live cooldown timer on your action bar and an "OFF COOLDOWN" ping with a sound when it is ready again.
- Admins can switch the trigger to hitting instead of right-clicking, or turn off the crouch requirement, in the config.

Everything is configurable
No file editing. Everything is a form you fill in in game, and it saves to the world.
Main config (
/strength:strengthconfig): damage per Strength level, min / max / starting Strength level, Ultimate requirement, Passive requirement, global mace cooldown, whether only smash hits trigger the mace cooldown, whether Strength drops on natural deaths, whether Strength drops to player killers, action bar cooldown display, Ultimate announcements, require crouching, right-click to trigger, hit to trigger.Per-class config (
/strength:abilityconfig): every single number listed above for all 9 classes — cooldowns, durations, damage multipliers, combo and crit requirements, shield disable times, ignite chance, debuff length, damage reduction, Wind Burst level, lunge strength, absorption level, fire rate, trident combat time, and more. The help menu reads your live config, so if you rebalance something, the in-game documentation updates itself to match. The Crown always follows your configured maximum Strength level.
Works with Blurry's Java PvP
Strength SMP plays nicely with Blurry's Java PvP if you run the two together. Its custom shields are recognised everywhere a shield matters: the Trident passive breaks them, Crossbow shots pierce them, and they activate the Shield ultimate. The Trident's combat mode also uses its sword attack speed and swing animations. You don't need it — Strength SMP works fine on its own.
Built to not break
- Self-healing items. Every item the addon changes (netherite armor, the ultimate mace, the combat trident, the offhand sword) is checked and reverted automatically on a loop. Crash mid-ultimate, reload the world, log off with a buffed weapon — the next check puts it back to normal.
- Crown-safe Strength. Your real Strength is saved the moment you put the Crown on and restored the moment it comes off — even if you die, log off or the world reloads while wearing it.
- Nothing leaks on death. All addon changes are reverted before your items drop, so no upgraded gear ever survives you.
- No leftovers. Cooldowns, combos and ultimate states are cleaned up when players leave.
- Multiplayer ready. Everything is tracked per player, and works on realms, dedicated servers and local worlds.
Install
- Download and apply both the behavior pack and the resource pack. The resource pack holds the item textures, the class icons, the Crown and offhand sword models, the Shield bubble and the ability effects.
- The behavior pack needs no experimental toggles.
- Requires an up-to-date version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
- Load into your world and you are done. Everyone gets a class and Strength +1 automatically.
Original work
Strength SMP is original work, written from scratch. It is not a fork, a re-skin, or a re-upload of anyone else's addon. Every script in this pack was built by me for this project.
