Custom Thatch Block Mod by Cralii

The reason for this mod is that I wanted a rustic block without the akward reskinning and sacrifice of other blocks. Inspired inpart by Jamziboyminecraft, and my overwhelming need for more materials ingame. Currently a SP mod.

This mod is for four custom blocks of Thatch, Bound Thatch, Log Stairs, and Log Beam, and contains an updated terrain.png with altered tiles for the following:

  door (solid, looks sturdier/rustic)
  
• 
  trapdoor (solid, looks sturdier/rustic as well)
  
• 
  log beam ItemID = 127 *uses an existing/default texture
  
• 
  log stairs ItemID = 128 *uses an existing/default texture
  
• 
  log bend ItemID = 129 *uses an existing/default texture
  
• 
  thatch (tile slot 168) ItemID = 125
  
• 
  bound thatch (tile slot 169) ItemID = 126
  These tiles are via Jamziboyminecraft's pack
  (of which I believe is partly borrowed from JohnSmith...)
  

The remainder of the terrain.png is Default.

This pack also includes an altered en_US.lang file with updated tooltips for the Custom blocks.

This Mod is also incomplete at this time... Blocks are still being coded, and a SMP version is being worked upon.

As of this moment there is no need for ModLoader but will not conflict (to my knowledge), and the zip file can be patched manually or by MCPatcher (recommended).

CRAFTING
As you can see by the images above. The Thatch blocks can be crafted, but do not occur naturally. They NOW appear in the Creative Mode Item Menu (Enjoy.).

*Thatch = 2 x 2 of wheat | 4 wheat yields = 1 Thatch Block

*Bound Thatch is constructed (in the 3 x 3 Grid) of 1 Thatch Block in the Center and 4 string (1 in each corner)

*Log Beam is constructed using 3 Logs in a horizontal row.

*Log Stairs are constructed using the same method as other stairs only with 6 Logs.

*Log Bend is constructed using the same method as other stairs only with 6 Log Beams.

If you have Single Player Commands you can use the /give command with the ItemID's

• Thatch ItemID = 125
  
• Bound Thatch ItemID = 126
  
• Log Beam ItemID = 127
  
• Log Stairs ItemID = 128
  
• Log Bend ItemID = 129
  

Now with the upcomming release of MC 1.3 I will keep in mind that the tile slots may need to be changed, and I will attempt to update this accordingly.

I am also working on a Server version that will work in conjunction with the SP mod.
