The Afterlight is an expansive mod that strives to add a new dangerous and eerie dimension to Minecraft, filled with new biomes, enemies, structures, weaponry, and more!

  • A soul-themed dark & luminescent dimension, located on the Dark Arm of the Dimensional Plane (In between the End and the Overworld)
  • 4 new Overworld biomes + 3 new cave biomes to discover in the dimension
  • 6 new mobs to defeat
  • 20+ new plants to collect and farm
  • 3 new tool/weapon/armor sets
  • Over 10 new advancements to complete
  • Some intriguing lore of past survivors of the dimension

New content:
  • Several new dungeons now spawn throughout the Afterlight dimension that have unique loot and structure
  • A patchouli guide book has been added in order to guide new players
  • The Geode Fields biome has been added
  • All mobs have received a much needed model overhaul
  • A new ore yielding a new item called eclipse shards have been added
  • A new unique weapon, the Geode Blade, has been added
  • Two new crafting systems have been added, ancient forging and glyph working
  • Various new advancements have been added

Many bugs have been found and fixed from v1.5.5.

Don't know if this is just me, but this mod seems to cause problems with my RAM usage. Was wondering if anyone else has this problem or a solution? Great mod though!

Yes, I believe there are some existing issues to do with that -- likely because of some unconventional generation methods I was using. I've discontinued developing the mod but I'm glad that you liked it!

I stopped developing the mod nearly a year ago, so sadly it won't ever be updated, sorry.
