The Coal Block Mod is very simple.

This is my very first mod, so please be patient if there are any problems (although there are currently none that I know of).

Looks good from the description and how you make sure the coal to diamond ratio isn't too OP. Only problem is that it requires a bit more modding of Minecraft than I'm comfortable with. I'm using MagicLauncher and what you're asking with adding Forge and Custom Stuff 2 seems a bit much for this. Any other solution or is this the only way? Despite this, still sounds pretty cool!
