bloodbath 70-100! thats almost 1/3 of the entire level!. also have been getting pretty consistent with the beginning (the ball not the ships, i was already good at those) and have been getting 19 or 18 A LOT

also technically its 67-100 cause the start of the auto is 67 but my startpos is at the end of the auto (70) to save time. so yeah its actually 1/3 of the level in 1 run

I just found out that the 2-player layout i made is super bugged because when you change gamemode the borders change. I have tried everything to fix it but nothing works so i deleted the level
Edit:nvm i found a way to fix it and fortunately i have backuped the level but its in a very old version

So, having the server down while i plan and implement a security system. I got strangely suspicious pings from some IP to the server which is harmless rn but the weird thing is that it was at a perfect interval of every 5 seconds. All the same IP but a different port about every 10 pings or so.

That's a good enough sign to me that it's time to secure the server. And that's why I'm saying this...

I've explained before that i would need to have a firewall rule to allow only registered IP addresses to connect, thus allowing the player from that address to join. If their IP is not listed, they cannot join. And if they are not willing to give me their IP so I can allow it through then they sadly cannot join.

This is the significant detail: Whether you give me your IP in order to join or I don't have the firewall so you can join regardless, I will still see your IP in the console the moment you join. So whether you tell me your IP or not I'll still have it! I should've said this to begin with. And if you're now concerned with joining at all because I'll see your IP please know that this is the case with all servers. Just the way it works. The server program needs to know where to send signals to (which would be your computer you're playing from) and where to receive signals from, as well as security things and such.

Therefore, if you send me your IP securely, preferably through a form since I'm the only one that can ever see your form response, it'll remain confidential and you'll be able to join while keeping my home network safe. I hope you want my home and family to be safe too...

In the future I'll make a way for you to see what your IP is (referred to as a WAN IP) without having to figure it out. But for now you can go to https://www.whatismyipaddress.com/ and your WAN IP will be to the right of "IPv4:" which will be 4 numbers separated by periods (e.g. 127.0.0.1 which is localhost, aka the device you're using). When I get SSL for my server I'll have a page so you can just click a button and it'll display your IP to copy and whatnot, but rn i don't want to do that yet since it's not secure and encrypted.

guyse guess what. the one broken mod was literally the one i used to download my mod save data back

and i didnt even get my mod save data back it literally just wasted 30+ minutes of my time

so you guys know how my save data was messed up a while ago and my mods got reset? it got un reset. which sounds like a good thing but its not. i liked the new settings.



LUCKILY i saved my data so i dont have to rebeat levels and you might be like "but neo what about your mod settings they dont get saved with robs servers" well luckily i have a mod that lets me save my mods yippee

is what i thought. now i cant even open gd it just crashes and i have to manually enable my 102 mods bit by bit to find what crashes it because the crashlogs say the faulty mod is just geode which is literally the modloader
