As briny seawater begins to fill your throat, you panic and quickly awaken. All you can think to do is kick your legs and swim upward. Before long you break the water's surface, coughing and spitting seawater from your lungs until you're able to breath.
Keeping yourself afloat, you take in your surroundings. Behind you, endless ocean. Before you, a steep mountainside blanketed thick with conifers. The sun is rising. You can see parts of the your vessel swaying in the surf, and other parts scattered in the forest as if the Seafather himself had hurled the ship at the island with all his strength.
Questions begin filing through your mind; did your mentor survive the wreck? are you still being followed? where are you? Unanswered, you put them to rest as you make your way through the debris and toward the shore.
---
What could await you on this island? Will you be able to leave the island and continue your journey? Where is your mentor, and what were her mysterious plans for you? For this adventure, you will need to be courageous and adventurous, willing to dive into the unknown with only your wits and resourcefulness to guide you. A good sense of direction won't hurt either.
---
The plot of this adventure map is loosely based on some events in another much larger story of mine. In order to create an engaging adventure map, I had to sacrifice some canonicity with the larger story. However, I'm sure nobody will even care because nobody knows what that other story is. So nevermind. I guess you could ask me about it if you're interested.
I will be adding new screenshots as I make progress on this adventure map. Feel free to leave any questions or comments you like; I'll do my best to answer them without giving anything away!
---
Also, I should acknowledge that I created the island using "World Painter," a wonderful and powerful program that lets you custom-sculpt terrain. Google it.

One more thing! I am a big fan of Misa's Realistic texture pack, and I used it when creating this adventure map. You will get the best experience here if you use that pack. It is an HD pack with support for things like Connected Textures and Random Textures, both of which are mods that come with MC Patcher. SO! Go grab the latest versions of Misa's Realistic texture pack and MC Patcher, make sure the aforementioned mods are checked before you hit 'patch,' and enjoy the beauty of HD! Well, Minecraft's idea of HD.

Additional Notes
I will be taking extensive advantage of the Command Block item for this adventure, so look forward to that! If you wanna, I guess.---
