The Withered Spires
Hey everyone i'm Kyric. I'm new on PMC and wish to make a name for myself in the survival map.... community or whatever. Anyways, the map I present to you today is the Withered Spires. This map is not yet complete. The Withered Spires features loot, dungeons, resource scarcity, and lots of death. To be honest this is just a test for these kinds of maps. There is a lot more that can and will be added over time.
The difficulty of this map is actually not very easy. I'd say it's in fact very hard. Considering the fact that the Withered Caves are huge and dark. Mushrooms spawn in them very often and mobs are EVEN MORE common than that. No matter what time of day there will always be mobs in the Withered Caves. This map can be VERY hard at times, so be prepared.
The scale of this map is huge. Far render distance cannot render everything from spawn (though that should be normal but not for a survival island) and eats up memory like crazy.
There are challenges on this map, and they are a combination of easy and hard. Some require a lot of counting... The challenges can be found at spawn and on this thread. They are not all possible YET.
1. Make a wheat farm
2. Make a two story house.
3. Make a stack of glass.
4. Kill the Wither Boss
5. Kill 100 Wither Skeletons.
6. Make an enchanting table.
7. Make a brewing stand.
8. Create 20 potions.
9. Go to the bedrock boundaries and return.
10. Fight and Kill the Ender Dragon.
11. Complete all dungeons.
12. Break EVERY mob spawner.
13. Kill 30 charged creepers.
14. Build a sugar cane farm.
15. Make a snow golem.
16. Make an iron golem.
17. Have a pumpkin farm.
18. Have a melon farm.
19. Find the Ender Teleportation Kit!
20. Teleport 20 times!
More may be added.
How to install the map to Minecraft.
1. Open Start
2. Click Run
3. Type in %appdata%
3b. Click Roaming
4. Click .minecraft
5.Open saves.
6. Open the zip file you downloaded and place the map folder in the saves folder.
7. Close and run minecraft.
8. Play the map.
Please post comments as I cannot get better at map making unless you tell me what's wrong or what can be better. I am making the other challenges possible as you read. If you liked it, pelase put a diamond up top. It motivates me to continue making maps. Thanks!

I'm sorry for not updating this map for 1.4.7. I will do that as soon as possible and maybe lighten up on some dungeons.
