Ladies and gentlemen of the Planet Minecraft community, I give you the HMS... Something-Or-Other (I built the thing but cannot, for the life of me, find a suitable name for it), a typical ironclad of the Victorian Era. This is my first ever upload, mainly because it's one of the only things I've built on Minecraft that doesn't look like complete garbage. I primarily modeled the ship after the French Océan class of ironclads that were built from 1865-1875, but I decided that I wanted the British Empire to have this one rather than France/The United States/Germany/Italy/Greece/Spain/Moldova/Bangladesh (I just really like the prefix "HMS").
The HMS Whatever is a three-masted ship with basic rigging (I still need to add some lines) but uses a horizontal return connecting rod compound steam engine as it's primary mode of propulsion, or it will use one, rather. I have to find a way to build one and fit it in there first. It comes with a near-completed gun deck (minus the actual guns), four barbettes for larger guns (again, minus the guns), six small cabins in the stern for officers, another larger cabin in the stern for a captain or admiral, and space below the gun-deck for engineering and storage (I still have yet to fill up this space).
Feel free to use this in your models. Just be sure to give credit where credit is due!

Additional Notes
The resource pack I used for the images is the Moray Swift pack by esmirff. It can be downloaded here:http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/moray-swift-16x/Progress | 80% complete |
