While building my Ironclad, the HMS Fill-In-The-Blank, I noticed that something was missing. I built this grand addition to Her Majesty's Royal Navy, but it didn't have anything to fight. It didn't have a "raison d'être", so to say. That's why I built the Nautilus, a perfect antagonist for my Ironclad. Now, it may not be as lavish (or even as large) as its namesake, the Nautilus from Jules Verne's novel, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, but it does feature plenty of space to meet your needs. I mainly modeled this off of the French submarine Plongeur, which was the first submarine to be propelled by mechanical power (incidentally, Jules Verne also closely modeled his vision of the Nautilus off of the Plongeur).
The Nautilus is powered by a ________ engine, which was manufactured by________ in the year 18__, and features two decks, a spar torpedo on the bow, a relatively spacious observation room, two moon pools, and a cake somewhere in there...I might add some furnishings in the future if I feel the need to.
Feel free to use this in your models. Just be sure to give credit where credit is due!
