Start off with placing 2 Sticky Pistons on top of each other, with 2 of any block on each Piston.

Dig a 1x3 Hole starting from the middle of the block, and one block coming out on each side. Then dig 1 block down. You should have a 1x3x2 Hole.

While you are in the hole, locate where you put your preferred block and dig 2 blocks from the bottom floor and 3 blocks on the top as seen in the picture.

Fill in the 1x3 floor with redstone, and the 2 blocks from the middle that are on the bottom, fill with redstone as well. Leave the top block empty.

At the block at the end of the Piston, place a Redstone Torch Standing Up. Do not put it on the block behind it, or to the sides of it. It will not work.

Cover the Redstone Torch with your preferred block.

Place a redstone dust on top of the block you placed over the torch.

Come to the front of your piston, and where you see any holes in the ground, fill them in with your preferred block.

To where you see the block you placed, add a Pressure plate of any kind to the front and the opposite on the other side.

This is a tutorial on how to make a Simple 1x2 Piston Door. I showed you how to make a 2x2 Piston Door, and the instructions are fairly similar

You will need:

6 Redstone Dust
1 Redstone Torch
8 of your Preferred Block (Includes Covering the Ground)
2 Sticky Pistons
2 Pressure Plates
