Behind the piston on the bottom, place a standing up ON redstone torch. Above it, place a block of any kind and on that block, place a redstone dust.

This part is a bit confusing. Under the first piston on the bottom, dig down one block THEN dig down another block so its like a staircase. Finally dig a block infront of it, then dig to the left and the right. Fill the floor with redstone. LOOK AT IMAGE

This is a tutorial on how to make a 1x3 Piston Door. MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE IMAGE SO YOU DON'T GET CONFUSED!

You will need:

3 Pistons
1 Redstone Torch
2 Pressure Plates
7 Blocks of Any kind (includes filling in floor)
7 Redstone
