The 5 Layers PvP Map
The 5 Layers is a Minecraft PVP Map created by Flamingo58 (concepts and general building), flamingo_maps (general building), Hollolz (arena builder) & taylor6288 (redstone and misc. building).
The game is also available to play on the SkyDoesMinecraft server at: skga.me
The map can be with with 4-16 players divided into 2, 3 or 4 teams. People can also spectate or record without being involved in the game.
Separated into five layers you must use what resources you can find in the allotted time to prepare for the final layer; PVP.
Divide yourself into teams of 2 to 4 a side. Each team is to select a stack of islands. Each stack has 4 islands, the fifth being the PVP arena. The first layer is your only chance to obtain food and wood. You have three minutes on this island. The second layer is your only chance to obtain iron and coal. You have five minutes on this island. The third layer is your only chance to obtain diamond, gold. You have seven minutes on this island. The fourth layer is your last chance to prepare yourself for combat. You have five minutes on this island.
On each layer, when the timer is up, the island will explode. When you have 30 seconds remaining an alarm will sound and the hole in the center of the island, providing access to the next layer will open.
Rules
You may break any blocks except Glass Blocks, the blocks on the sides of layers used as decoration and any of the redstone or command blocks used to make the game work. There are several hidden chests among the different layers
If you die, you are out and can watch as a spectator by standing on one of the pressure plates in the corner of spawn and then flying around invisible.
Do not use this to cheat and either help or hamper players who are still alive.
To begin the game, all players must join their appropriate teams and then pull the "Team Ready" lever, shortly after the game will begin automatically.
The properties file included in the download will make sure the map runs correctly. Also, included are options to run the server with different amounts of RAM. Please report any bugs found and all comments are welcome. Thanks for reading, enjoy the game!
