Hello,

Here im showing my old 6 tick fast bcd to 7 segment display converter.
the input goes in binairy (in the video manual by levers), and the output shows up on the 7 segment above!
its superfast, and lowlagg level!
the bcd-decimal works with 2 lines, 1 is on, 1 is off, by linking them right up, you get a decoder. this is how i made it possible to decode at this speed on this small surface.
ofcourse tehre are smaller designs in the world and faster ones!
but this one is fast and modular, and that is what its made for.

Greetings,
Happertje2

(i posted this before i think, but without a proper video)

Interesting type of decoder. Smaller footprint as usual and fast.

I hoped for a bit of more explanetion of the redstone behind it in the video. This type is new for me and I curious about the idea/system behind it.

Anyway instead of joining your server I hope you don't mind a diamond with a comment.

That was the whole idea, height is the least expensive with redstone, so thats teh way to go, small footprints high fast machines.
Thank you for your diamond.
the way the redstone works is actually very simple. its 2 lines of redstone for each input.
the 2nd has the opposite state as the first. then i connect for each bit, the lower line with the number that the bit is in, and the 2nd line goes on all the numbers the bit is not in. if i do this for all 4 bits i got a decoder with like 1 tick delay. but yea i need to transfer the power up, and i dont wanna make it wider, so thats where 2 ticks come frome.
if this does not explain it, and you want the specific explaination, i can tell you on my server, or maybe you can ask on mineore.org (the redstone server since rdf went down, the one i played on alot, and still do!)
