This is a compact seven segment piston display with a decoder attached. It decodes binary straight to hexadecimal and puts it into the display. Its the same as my other design, but now instead of decimal (0-9) its hexadecimal (0-F)! So if you need a decimal one, check my page for it! :) You can input binary with the levers in the back, read them from left to right! The lever's right state, is zero, its left state, is 1. There will be an example in the screenies. Or you can remove the levers route the inputs to the ground and hook them up to a calculator, alu, counting machine, etc. Hope this helps, and always I'll answer questions and help those who need it! The unit is also perfectly modular btw, so stack as many next to each other as you need, that's what it was designed for after all!

Very cool! I'd love to see a World Save File of this if you can. I would definitely download it if you uploaded it!

Otherwise, very nice piece of redstone work. I've never been good at redstone, and I marvel that anybody could create a working 7-segment display! As a challenge, how about you attach this to a restone calculator, with the ability to add up numbers and show the result on a display. That would be worth a comment, favourite and download if you ask me.

Haha thanks so much for the positive feedback! I might actually upload the save, I build all my redstone experiments and stuff on a flat map, so some people might like to tinker around with it! I actually do have a 16 bit calculator uploaded on my profile, it uses a less compact version of this decoder. Unfortunately, its in hexadecimal at the moment, which most people do not want to read, but a better decimal version that everyone can read is in the works! :)
