Working off of a tileset and map, I am recreating the original Hyrule from The Legend Of Zelda for the NES. I have now finished the basic overworld map, the only thing left to do right now is make all the secret rooms underground, like the first one where the old man says "It's dangerous to go alone, take this!"
To make it, I am not using MCEdit, though I did download a world created with it. Someone posted a completely flat dirt world that's perfect for my needs. If I could find it again, I'd give them credit. I'm building it all by hand, but I'm using both INVedit and Single Player Commands for materials. The world also spawns in a snow biome, which is incredibly annoying to have to type "/thaw 200" every two minutes when my lakes and rivers freeze over, and "/weather rain" to turn off the constant snow. But oh well. If anyone knows how to fix this, please PM me.
I may or may not tackle the dungeons, as they'd be kind of hard to logically place beneath the Overworld. If I do them, it may be in the Nether, I haven't decided.

At this point I've changed it so much it's only about 40% alike with that texture pack. I don't think I'm going to upload this world, cause it's necessary to have my version of the Zelda texturepack in order for it to make any sense whatsoever.

Additional Notes
This is the texture pack I started out using, and I've actually been working with its creator to tweak it for my needs:www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/the-legend-of-zelda/

i really wanna see your texture pack im colecting 8-bits only u have the original zelda
so i beliven u and ur ability do complete the map and texture u edited! Please update ur link or at least make a click link to the texture pack or if u can tell me who made it
However, you might need to edit some of your areas from one type of block into another.
And I guess you could use something like MCEdit for the biomes...
