HI! I Know that has been a loooong time since I update this, and that some of you are impatient to see more of the work, and download the project, I know, but I'm just one person working on this, there's a nice guy that maybe will help me whit the map soon, he must be tired of waiting since I'm delaying the project over and over again, but I want to tell you that I been working a lot on another projects out of minecraft, and my personal life of course, workout, couple, cats, house, and all those human adult life that I hate, BUT! I dedicate some hours to this project every week, and I almost finish the base of South Island, if Yellowflame still wants to help me whit the level design, I'm pretty sure that I will be able to give you the first release this year ... I really apologize for the waiting, is been two hard years, I will work on this a little more, just wait, please, thanks to everyone :3.
I started this in 2016 with the intention of releasing it
for Sonic's 25th Anniversary, but since I'm ambitious, I didn't release
it at time, so the I said that I would release it when the map has 7 Levels...
But i'm f***ing insane and a couple of monts ago, I decide to make the levels
from almost ALL the "classic" sonic... yes, that includes the next list of games.

This project started with the idea of make a Sonic Themed Resource Pack
and a Sonic Themed CTM map, the idea still the same...
but with a little and important difference.
The map is going to be a open world map of South Island, West Island, Angel Island
Little Planet and Newtronic Island.
It's intenden to have some mechanics like the original game.
like no fall demage, moving platforms, speed, springs, loops, rings, platforming etc.
it's planed to use the armors to make "skins" of characters with diferent skills.
In the aspect of the resource pack, I'm working with a level per biome, so... there's a lot of blocks unused, and some block models have been modified to make them look better with the theme.
This is the progress that already I have with textures and levels by
percentage, T = Textures, L = Loneliness ... ehem, Level.
The blue ones are the Sonic 1 and chaos (MegaDrive & Game Gear) Levels and the Orange are the
Sonic 2 Levels, I still do not work on the posterior levels of Sonic 2 and the
other games.
Green Hill Zone: L-10%, T-100%.

Hi to everyone, Today is a good day, because I finally finish the creation of the base of the map of South Island, there's a lot of work ahead, but right now I have this renders in world painter to show you a glimpse of how the map will be...
This Render is the cenital view on WorldPainter, this are the locations of all the Sonic The Hedgehog 1 levels, both versions, GameGear and Sega Genesis (MegaDrive) and also Sonic Chaos levels.
And, this render on WorldPainter is the isometric view.
So... that's the update, the island is based on the South Island Sprite Map from StH1 on the GameGear.

Wishing you good luck and hope you find all the help you need. I love all the little references on the map, like the island from Sonic 1 GG. Im a huge fan of the Game Gear titles as well and Im soo excited to play this when it releases! Pure nostalgia;)
