If you are making redstone devices and you always break the redstone to stop it or add it to start your device well with the redstone switch your problem is solved here is how to build it:
Step 1: Place a sticky piston connect it to a lever and place a block infront of it (I think that there is not all blocks that are working)
Step 2: Place a repeater infront the block that is facing the block IMPORTANT: The piston needs to be deployed
Step 3: Place redstone at the other side if the block and connect it to your device IMPORTANT: The piston needs to be deployed
Step 4: Make a redstone clock and connect it to the repeater
Step 5: Test it if it's not working look at the pictures for help
If you have any ideas of a redstone device I could do write it in the comments
