This is a simple Minecraft elevator using pistons that is relatively fast and isn't very costly on resources.
Can be built in survival, doesn't require slime balls or quartz for construction and isn't too complex with the redstone.

To operate stand under/over the piston and toggle the lever on then very quickly off again.
As an after note, the system will now only work on Minecraft 1.10 down as someone pointed out that it will no longer work with 1.11 onwards.
