Port Bessvale was first mentioned 700 years before the Great War by Esseielein Pliay who wrote the VII chronicles of the Isles. Started off as a small settlement near trading routes with it's main economic branches being woodcutting and farming, it soon became a prosperous trading city with an enormous cargo fleet. As the city grew larger it became the seat of the 47th Iso maeeli governor Alessandro Waytel. He was one of the great leaders in the history of the Iso maeeli as he was one of the creators of the Iso maeeli Unification Act , which united all the Iso maeeli city states under the law of one emperor, who was Cyoeld Qares at the time the act was passed. Port Bessvale then also became the seat of the emperor as he had resided there for years. The palace was upgraded to match imperial standards and Port Bessvale was raised to the status of the capital of the Iso maeeli.

Nowadays Port Bessvale is a grand city, where mostly government and military instances build their offices and search for effective workforce. The town is well known for having many merchant guilds, a large port and several semi-automated cargo houses. All this leads to a high degree of beaucracy and very large amounts of money moving around in the city. The town has over 400 years of trade culture in itself and it will most certainly continue to develop.
