Hello Guys! Today, I would like to present my submission for the Procedural Metropolis Contemporary Edition Project!
The feel I attempted to capture was a very diverse architecture/style for each building. I did not want any of them to be identical, so the city would look unique. I also made places based off of real places and picture I found on the web, to give a realistic feel since people will feel connected to these builds once they realize it looks familiar...
Here is a gist of each build!
House--- not symmetrical on purpose to give a unique feel. I tried not to use quartz since lots of modern builds only use that. I wanted to find a unique material to make it not look too futuristic, so it would look like something you might see when you go outside. But I still wanted to capture the essence of the word "modern".
Cafe--- inspired by my local Safeway that has a glass tower. It also uses different materials that are modern, to truly capture the feel of metropolis. The house is not as modern as this, to provide diversity.
Store--- inspired by 7/11, I wanted to make a cute little local shop with a bakery in it as well. But cute is not appropriate for this contest, so I gave it a modern facade while providing a cute bakery and aisles as well, and including ceiling fans which I did with a lot of the builds.
Mansion--- Originally was to be an apartment complex, maybe it could double as one. This of big Youtubers, where they vlog, their enormous property with endless space. Yep, that's this! Comes with lots of luxury too, and a swimming pool on top, and lots of backyard fun!
Hotel-- Inspired by a modern hotel from the Middle East, I liked how the building looks so modern (even futuristic?) while the billboard clearly contrasts those vibes with a more present or even maybe a older look. Warning: this place is rich rich.
Park--- This was definitely the most difficult build. I based it off of a man made park, with a statue, flower beds, human support for bees, and a nice path! I know cities aren't perfect, so I wanted to capture the feel of it being a bit run down while still looking crisp, so I was able to do that!
Summary:
These builds pertain to a very specific touch; I did not want to make everything look perfect and crisp, that is just unrealistic. I also wanted to make every build look unique and not use one common material for all. Enjoy!
Note: this is for the contest only, don't use the builds unless it's for the city in the contest please!

IF it is the Chunky beta: there are some height options to cut off at a certain point, somewhere to be find (including already on the chunk selection if my mind serves me).
