The famous Airbus A320 family is the most technically advanced short to medium range narrow body aircraft. Rivaled only by Boeing's Aircraft, the 737 Family. Unlike the 737, the Airbus A320 has a state of the art flight deck utilizing features such as fly by wire. Although the Airbus company was founded during the 70's they are quickly becoming one of the major players in the manufacturing of aircraft. This is all thanks to the Airbus A320 family. Because of the aircraft's popularity it has seen operations with many major airlines such as British Airways, Lufthansa, Etihad and American Airlines.

The Airbus A320 is the series of aircraft that consists of the Airbus A318, Airbus A319, Airbus A320 and Airbus A321. The wide success of the Airbus A320 has led to many variations of each aircraft. Each using a different powerplant. The Airbus A320-100 typically use a pair of CFM56 engines much like the 737 family. The Airbus A320-200's typically use IAE engines, and the newest edition to the A320 fleet the A320neo uses engines produced by Pratt & Whitney. Depending on the load of each aircraft and what engine it has mounted the average maximum range of the Airbus A320 is 3700nmi. As the Airbus A320 has such as smooth airflow (good aerodynamics) it reach a maximum cursing speed of 444 knots. it maybe slower than the Boeing's narrow body aircraft the 737 however it is more efficient than the 737 burning less fuel at higher speeds. The Aircraft can also hold a maximum of 180 passengers and a max cargo weight of 20,800Lbs meaning it can carry a lot of weight for significantly less of the price than the average Boeing 737 can.
