I've been wanting to try making an airship for a while, and when I saw the contest, I thought I might as well do that for the contest. I've also always wanted to try making a floating island, so I put the 2 ideas together and came up w/ Airship Island. (Yeah IK, laaame name, made it up quick-fast) Enjoy, and if you like it, please add a diamond, maybe even favourite, and consider subscribing!

The island was surprisingly easy to make, although the design wasn't exaclty what i had in mind, but the airship doesn't look that great.

I might include a download later, but I built this on the server i had running at the time, so the save files pretty big.

I was inspired by Rova's airships, and by various other floating islands.

EDIT: Derp. Only now have I realized that I had to build on the contest started map. Derp.

the envalope (balloon) of the airship looks pretty good and the undercarriage has a unique, smooth shape, but im still confused; why do people think of airships as a massive pirate ship hanging down from a balloon? if you want to see REAL airships, look on my profile. no offense, but it just puzzles me :P
