After watching videos recently posted by Rova and Lynchyinc I decided to have a go at building an airship of my own. This is what i've done so far. I still need to decide whether to use a balloon or sails, and add some more details.

Additional Notes

This is an unfinished project that i'd like some help completing. Give me ideas, advice, or even just a "cool ship man" comment.

No schematic for this one, i'm using a friends laptop that doesn't have McEdit.

After an hour of fiddling with different things to make this ship better i've decided to give up. Its too small and nothing I do to it seems to make it look halfway decent even.

I'll be trying again from scratch this weekend. This ship was not a total loss however. It has been a great learning experience and good practice.

Not a bad start its nice to meet someone else who has been inspired by rova as well. I would suggest using balloons given the shape of the ship I think it would look better than sails. Also maybe you should put some ornamentation on the front it would help people better disinquish which side is the front and would give it more detail. Also thanks for subscribing =)

Yeah the more I look at it the more I think a balloon would be best. I'll be touching up the front end later as well, probably adding some dispensers as well.
