When steve woke, his head was slightly fuzzy. A bright light shone in his eyes. Slowly his wits returned, and he raised his head. He saw a robed figure leaning over him, the face obscured by a bright nimbus.
"Am I in Heaven?", he asked.
"Yes, and no", the figure. "This is a paradise as it was legend on your planet, but it is not the Afterlife, which I believe you mean." Then it sighed., and turned to look over a magnificent view
"It may not be paradise much longer though. Our world is being corrupted by an evil force that is tainting all life. It has now reached the border of our magical shield.".
Steve sat up. " If it is about to get this place, why am I here?".
The figure turned back, and the Nimbus vanished. From a sad face, slightly slanted eyes looked at steve with something akin to hope. "Because our magical strength is waning. We need the power of science to leave this planet, and go elsewhere. This planet is beyond saviour now."
Steve was surprised, but quickly agreed to use all his abilities to help them, if only to save his own life. The figure took him to a place where he could see the evil approaching. He was constantly trying to determine the gender of the figure, but the face gave no hint, and the robes were too concealing. Then he looked in the distance.
He saw a small island, and on it was some sort of giant mushroom. Except that it was distorted in many ways, and didnt look very healthy at all.
Steve understood the danger now, and set to work with all his skills, to help the people of Amr'atheran to flee the powers that had consumed their planet.
