This project is a replica of the Wonder of the Celts from the game Age of Empires by Microsoft in the team colour Gray. This put the "Rock of Cashel" in Cashel, (Rep. of) Ireland. The monument has been used in various ways throughout Irish history. When the Western Roman Empire went under, the first piece of the building was built as a royal castle for the Celtic Kingdom of Munster. Later, St. Patrick from the castle made his episcopal see. In the Medieval Ages, the Rock eventually became the most important Irish bishopric. During the Irish Confederation Wars between Catholics and Anglicans, the monastery fortress was besieged and conquered by the Anglicans, but in the 18 th century the building was abandoned.

I am big fan of Age of Empires and always tried to build some of buildings in Minecraft but everything I have tried ago was not good enough to be shown. But by time by "Minecraft-Skills" have become better and so I finally tried to build some of the AoE II World Wonders.


For me one of the most beautiful wonders of the game. Great monumental appearance, but still differently interpretable. After completing the foundation and sketching the building on a piece of paper, I decided to use it as a castle rather than a church, as I had built many more churches than castles. Strictly speaking, this wonder of the world is the first AoE wonder of the world I built, but I did not upload it for years, because I did not want to upload it until everything was done. The building is fully furnished and can also be used defensively. It will also be used in the RP world, but it is not clear when, where or for what.

Dieses Projekt ist ein Nachbau des Weltwunders der Kelten aus dem Spiel Age of Empires von Microsoft in der Teamfarbe Grau. Dieses stellte den „Rock of Cashel“ in Cashel, (Rep. of) Irland. Das Monument wurde im Laufe der irischen Geschichte auf verschiedene Weise genutzt. Als das weströmische Reiche unterging wurde das erste Stück des Gebäudes als Königsburg für das keltische Königreich zu Munster gebaut. Später machte der heilige Patrick aus der Burg seinen Bischofssitz. Im Mittelalter wurde aus dem Rock schließlich der wichtigste irische Bischofssitz. Während der irischen Konföderationskriege zwischen Katholiken und Anglikanern wurde die Klosterfestung von den Anglikanern belagert und erobert, jedoch im 18 Jahrhundert wurde das Gebäude aufgegeben und dem Verfall preisgegeben.


Ich bin ein großer Fan der Age of Empires Serie und hatte immer wieder versucht, einige der AoE Gebäude in Minecraft nachzubauen, doch war (fast) nichts davon vorzeigbar. Doch wurde ich mit den Jahren erfahrener und versuchte mich nach einigen Bauwerken auch mit AoE Weltwundern.

Für mich eines der schönsten Weltwunder des Spieles. Tolles monumentales Aussehen, aber trotzdem verschieden Interpretierbar. Ich hatte nach dem Fertigstellen des Fundamentes und einer grundsätzlichen Skizzierung des Gebäudes auf einem Stück Papier mich entschlossen es als Schloss und nicht als Kirche zur nutzen, da ich deutlich mehr Kirchen als Schlösser gebaut hatte. Streng genommen ist dieses Weltwunder das erste AoE-Weltwunder was ich gebaut habe, jedoch hatte ich es über Jahre nicht hoch geladen, da ich es erst hochladen wollte, wenn wirklich alles fertig ist. Das Gebäude ist vollständig eingerichtet und kann durch aus auch defensiv benutzt werden. Es wird auch in der RP-Welt genutzt werden, jedoch ist noch nicht klar wann, wo oder für was.
