Nestled along side the Arnhem Ranges, this modern take on an Australian cattle station, captures the essence of traditional "Outback" Australian architecture. Cyclone proof, flood proof, dust proof and rodent proof.
This project is a side shoot of my Arnhem Ranges project. I wasn't going to build on the map.
But was inspired by two minecraft artists to create a Arnhem Ranges habitation.
I started wanting to build an old sun baked ruin.
However, the brief seemed to change everyday...
This build was inspired by the work of two minecraft artists. I thank them both for their influence :)
#1 Friized_ created a beautiful desert mountain range called "Halli Mountains".

#2 Omardegante who creates inspirational modern interiors. Some of the best I've seen. I wasn't really excited by modern building or interiors until I saw his projects. nb* "The Farwell House"

Australia is not an easy biome to recreate. I'm building one more Aussie inspired build on the map, then the download will be available for those who want to add to it or just enjoy. I've only just started to build modern styles. I really like your modern small house and concept merscale house. I learn new things all the time and have subscribed to you so I can enjoy your creations.
Thanks again my friend :)
Also, I asked someone on PMC who does requested maps on streams to do an Australian biome. They said that they will give it a shot. So if/when they do, do it. I will send you a link to it. So you can have a look at what they have done.
It is nice that I am giving you inspiration too.
I have only just started to do modern builds and your encouraging words are really appreciated.
Frank Lloyd Wright was an inspirational architect and his influence continues today. I'm a huge fan.
Falling waters, Spring House and his winter home in Arizona, Taliesin.
I see you like period architecture. I too, like the ornamentation and details of period architecture.
But, they can be very laborious to complete some days.
I found the simplicity of modern architecture really complex to design and construct.
Plain edges and simple lines had to be finished perfectly or they stuck out and wouldn't gel. They couldn't be hidden under a corbeled eave.
Arnhem Ranges kinda' just fell out of me. I had started with the image of the enormous tin roofs of the outback cattle stations, and that was that....
So I built a big roof and everything had to be built under that one cover.
half way through, I got worried it just looked like a big roof or a capsized star destroyer.
I subscribed so I can see your new builds.
Thanks again my friend,
billoxiiboy :)
