"When I look at the northern lights ... I see our ancestors dancing around a sacred fire, lighting the way for us when it's time for us to cross over from this physical world and join them"
The stars of the sky shine forever over the worlds below, but they shine most fondly over the frozen heart of the Aurorean Tundra. This was the place where the stars were forged and the gift of frost resides. The astral linings had no power here, for winter's heart was the only power. The days were an eternal dusk, and the nights an eternal dawn, for the sun never set upon these lands but the moon had never left, and neither wanted to leave. No human had ever seen the lands of winter's mercy, for her lands were hers, to be seen by her alone. Were.
Aurorean Tundra has been sitting in my folder of future terrains for months now, it's incredibly satisfying to be finally able to release it. The centrepiece of this map is the lake - upon which is carved a snowflake, embedded in the ice, and is a unique feature that I'm quite fond of. The layers of snow around the lake, nestled around the pines which guard the landscape, are smoothly made and creates the atmosphere that I was looking for, especially as the map gets darker and night feels safe and calm, unlike how nights in Minecraft usually feel. The mountains are also created in a manner not usual of me with some of them being mere outcrops and rocks rather than full mountians. This was intentional, and I like the effect of them being landmarks in themselves and unique altogether. Have a great Christmas everybody!

Do you design the trees yourself for your terraforming projects or you just use a specific tree pack from someone? They always look so lovely in your renders/screenshots.
