Balathor
- Dwarven Capital City -
Balathor joins the ranks of huge dwarfen cities besides Irongate, Drakespire & Hammerthon. It is by far the biggest structure of the Karag Massif and unites the most excellent building styles dwarven architecture can provide.
Balathór combines a vast trade quarter and residential area with a mesmerizing complex of armouries, mines, factories and a runeforge. Against the common stereotype our capital leads you through gigantic halls but also through chilly mountain paths, a harbour and structures under the open sky.
Within the southern peaks of the Karag Massif, the river head of the legendary Amán Thar arises and floods a lush plateau at the very end of the greatest mountainside of Eldarvarya. While adorned bridges traverse the surges of the river, the bright Ridge of Bones shadows the legion domes of the city beneath. Watching from the battlements of the keep you can glance at the green vastness of Elrâ, while the Amán Thar bolts down the cliff and waters the so called Shadow of Balathor.
The sacred river of the Elves, the Aman'Thar originates in the depth of the Karag Massive. Before it smashes down the cliffs, it flows through a great plateau and gives the breath of live to our dwarven capital. It seperates Balathor intro three parts:-the mining and forging district in the western caves, containing a archaic sphere for forging just the mightiest of items-the lower district in the caves, meant for simple living quarters and the entrance to the harbour just as the rail road-the outside district for craftsman, farmers and crowned by the fortress.
