I'm sure you've either seen or attempted a parkour trick that involves placing a block to complete an otherwise impossible jump, or to land on the side of a wall, or to prevent otherwise lethal fall damage. Speedrunners like Couriway, Illumina, and Cubel337x all use these techniques to save time in their runs. It's a valuable skill.
But learning these jumps is often difficult - you're often told to "learn by experience" and that there's no real way to EFFICIENTLY practice specific jumps or clutches. Or, at least there wasn't, until:
Auremberite's Block-Placing Parkour Practice Map! (ABP3M?) for 1.16.1
Features:
This map is very helpful especially to those in the speedrunning community where movement is key. I am also a speedrunner in rsg and fsg categories and was genuinely helped by playing this. Please leave feedback below, as the map is currently in beta stage.
THIS MAP IS CURRENTLY 80% FINISHED. MANY OF THE "FINAL LEVELS" AREN'T COMPLETE AND IT'S A BIT UNORGANIZED AS WELL AS MISSING A FEW ANGLES FOR CERTAIN MOVES. IT'S CONSIDERED MAP VERSION BETA 1.O AND I WANT COMMUNITY FEEDBACK BEFORE I FINISH. THANKS.

Auremberite's Block-Placing Parkour Practice Map! (ABP3M?) for 1.16.1
Features:
- Twenty-nine (29) stations that allow plays to try specific block-placing jumps for efficient practice! Each station's jump is either categorized as Easy, Medium, or Hard to ease new players into concepts and allow advanced players to jump straight into what they need to improve.
- Concept-Test parkour courses (most under construction in beta 1.0 version of the map) that allow quick practice of one technique from a variety of angles and at different timings with fluid motion!
- Some Portal 2 references!
- An old school map vibe! (Read: no command blocks because they'd pretentious for such a simple map and not because I tried and failed to incorporate them.
