Yay! I found more tree packs to feature!

This map features two packs from snappy_pants.

snappy_pants Tree Pack 2

I really like his cherry and plum trees from the second pack and wanted to make a map just for them - however I quickly discovered how overwhelming that pink can get on a map. I pulled in other tree from both packs to tone it down and fill out the terrain. I generated and decorated the Mother Bloom Tree using MCEdit.

Not counting the ocean border, the terrain is on a 4k x 4k grid.

I hope you like the map and if you do, be sure to show snappy_pants tree packs some love too!

You may use this map however way you like so long as I get credit for the terrain and snappy_pants gets credit for the trees.

Yea lol I really like them but I'm finding out real fast they can get overwhelming on a map. I am starting to think this map is going to need a giant tree somewhere - maybe in the largest valley. Not sure yet. I'll wait and see once I get the rest of the stuff squared away.

It looks really nice but there are a few things that I dont like about it, one being the openness of the plains and how they look neglected, it would be nice to see how they look as a meadow, but none the less keep up the good work :D

Okay I see exactly what you mean about the negelected plains as soon as I got the map loaded up for more screenshots. I thought I had painted in some sunflower plains but it's obvious they got forgotten somehow. :(

Sorry about that, I'm fixing it now.

You said there were a few things you didn't like but only mentioned the naked plains. What else don't you like that I could posibly fix and hopefully make better?

I guess I should have included the other thing XD (+1 for forgetfulness). The two other things that gets me is how open the map feels and looks, the large plains makes it look like the area was once an ocean with a few islands that has now receded. It just feels like they where an after thought when the map was created.

I also find that the amount of trees used doesn’t fit the landscape, personally I think it needs a lot more to give the feeling of a richer environment as well as a few more types of them to give it a more natural feel.

Weird, I made the plains first but looking at the topographic map, there really isn't that many plains. Most of the map consist of mountains. It may be that I took too many screenshots from the coastline?

With that said, your point on the trees is a very valid one. Since this map is featuring the trees made by one person, I am limited to using those trees from the two small packs linked in this project, but I will go over them again and see which ones I can add that will blend well with the ones I am already using.

It seems my screenshots are too far away to show the flower fields. I'll try to take a few more here as soon as I can. (I'm not on the same pc as the one I made the map on).
