Ladies and gentlemen... Today I present to you my finest creation yet- the Boeing 747-8 intercontinental.

This beauty is the latest iteration of my 747 series airplanes. It is extremely detailed (heck I even made the pitot tubes!), and masterfully crafted to be as accurate as possible. Featuring dynamic navigation lights that lags the hell out of your computer, functional light controls that work less than half of the time, and sexy, hot flight attendants who are former prostitutes.

The 747-8I is a true flagship. Using new and revolutionary technologies, it can strand about 500 passengers on the ground for hours, for 15% less fuel! It's also 20 db quieter than the 747-400, allowing it to be 0.000001 db less noisy than the federal regulation requirement so people can't sue the airlines even though the new plane is still noisy enough to render them permanently deaf. Let's not forget the on board wifi which charges $15 an hour for a blazing fast 100kb/s download speed comparable to dial up internets 7 years ago!

Are you looking for a download link? Don't bother, because there isn't one (yet)!

Oh wait, just kidding. Here's the download link ~coming soon~, you may now go reupload this on PMC/youtube, give zero credit to me, and claim you built it!

Jokes aside, you may use, modify it for whatever the heck you want, I don't care. But I would really appreciate it if you would give me credit for the build.

Working landing gears!

Working navigation lights!

Which one? I've only used 1 shaderpack with clouds like that and it lags like crazy and looks nowhere as good as your shader pack.

It's just plain ol' seus shaders with a few lines of codes changed, you need a really beefy PC for this though. What are the specs of your rig?

Intel core i7 3.4GHZ
12GB RAM
1TB HHD + 250GB SSD
AMD Radeon 8960A graphics
Windows 10

Yeah, I probably need nvidia graphics or something. But I get around 120-140fps in game with default settings without it.

hmm, it sounds like you have a laptop with a mobile gpu... I doubt that would run shaders very well.
And no you don't need a nvidia card... generally amd cards give you more performance per $$$ and I'm running a r9 390 myself. What FPS do you get with shaders?

Beautiful B748 replica. I'd recommend you try to make maybe an Airbus? Some GA would be nice aswell.

you should include minecraft doors though. But I like the doors, they look realistic, just aren't funtional.

hehe... nothing is not functional with a little command block magic...

Sofar I've made the navigation lights functional. Add me on skype and I'll show you a video of it.

What!? But my plane doors are functional, no command blocks, only pistons and vanilla redstone... that closes flush from the outside.

I personally think form supercedes function when you're building a plane. The problem with those little features your plane has is, they heavily impact the visual appeal of your plane. Complex redstone mechanisms simply take up too much space to fit in a realistic and accurate plane like mine. But with the introduction of command blocks I now can have it all, realism, accuracy and functionality. I can now transmit redstone signals wirelessly and move blocks remotely. It's just really foolish to not take advantage of that when command blocks can do so much more than old school redstone.

Here I made a gif showing the navigation lights on my 747, this could not have been possibly done with conventional redstone.

I agree. But what if you rotate the plane and you use ~+ or ~- for the x and z values? Or if you move the plane when using x and z values? Sure, command blocks may be quick and convienent, but old school redstone is much more reliable and safer.

Since I use relative coordinates, the only problem I see is rotating the plane. Let's face it, your plane is not going anywhere in the game, and if you really do need to rotate the plane you can just switch the x z coordinates afterwards. Command blocks are just as reliable and safe as redstone, it won't blow itself up unless you put a command for it to do so. Also another reason I chose command blocks is, old school redstone simply takes too much room. To accomodate the wirings for my navigation lights I would have to make my wings thicker and I'd have to put the wirings on the surface of the wings. Command blocks makes that possible without changing the looks of my plane.

Yes, but it's ok, you dont need to show, me just tell me how ti works, not offence, I just think internet safey is critical. Im guessing you press button in flight deck, command block replaces block with lit version or glowstone. Is it?
