Back in 1998 a little known game company named Dynamix released TRIBES, the first truly dedicated multiplayer game. This epic game set the bar so high that no other game since, not halo, not half life, not any of the Battlefield games have been able to reach it. For those who spent the better part of two years addicted to this game, I give you Broadside, one of the bases from the game.

I still own Starsiege Tribes and is the only good memory of my POS E-Machine computer. The first game by the way is now freeware and anyone can download it. Nice job!

Just checked it out.. faithful and accurate recreation. I can hear the sound of the inventory station firing up and people shazbottin' .. almost shedding a tear here.. nicely done, my friend

I have scrabra and a few others in the works but I never get around to working on them. I miss TRIBES so very very much.

Boy do I do, too. Ascend looks okay.. I know it can't ever match the original but I still have a bit of hope in me that they do it justice

Thank you. God I miss the all night gaming a thones. Sniping people out of mid air, laying traps for flag runners, and the orgasmic thrill you get when you cap a hard fought flag cap. Truly was one of the most epic and innovative games of all time. Lets hope the new version is as fun.
