The youtube video isn't mine but found it to be a great explaination, and although interesting I don't share the same view as the video creator about Steez's death.

Steez was obsessed with this number, and he made an artwork for it. It looks like a swastika but the numbers 4 & 7 are easily seen. I have just re-created the image onto a minecraft world.
