After two years of being silent I can finally present my latest work; Castle Dukendaele !

Castle Dukendaele resides one of the mightiest people of the most Serene Merchant Republic of Saint-Novigrad and Oxenfurt, his most illustrious Doge Bronibor var Emreis of Saint-Oxenfurt himself !

Some 'lore'

Located in the ever quiet Vale of Rauros, where the famous Argonath is located, the castle stands high above the treeline to dominate the local landscape in its grandness. The castle has been a recent addition to the Merchant Republic and is thus decorated with the most recent trends in interior and all grandness coming with it. the Castle is fully capable of withstanding a siege due to its strategic location, and if they ever reach the gatehouses, they shall be welcomed with precise fire from the grand longbows the Republic decided to use. His Most Illustrious Doge Bronibor was most pleased with the result and moved his seat of power to it the instant it was done.

About the build

I tried to achieve a double standard with this castle, for I wanted a medieval exterior look, but a most prestigious interior for the occupant of the castle, this meant three total reworks of the external structure to allow a properly functioning interior. Taking over 150 hours of building this castle was no small feat, but I wanted to make sure there were as few mistakes/misses as possible.
The only undecorated places of the Castle are the cellar and the 'chapel' for I wanted to allow survival compatibility.

This build requires the LORD OF THE RINGS MOD FOR MINECRAFT 1.7.10, (which can be found on their website) without it, you will be met with alot of holes or messed up Id's :S

I hope you will enjoy and see you the next time I complete something !

A castle without interior is only half work in my eyes, hehe, I always tend to include interiors, glad to hear they worked out since they required alot of effort.

I completely agree with you! A good interior is just as important as the exterior if a build is to be interesting to explore. One without interior can still be a great build, but you'll probably get tired of it much more quickly.

Nice to hear !, it was one of the goals of the build to make it stick and blend in with the hill.
