Catedral Nuestra Señora del Carmen or Metropolitan Cathedral of Barquisimeto is a Catholic temple. It was the first major project built by Jahn Bergkamp. Completed in 1968 and consecrated on January 14, 1969 by Cardinal José Humberto Quintero Parra, it received the Divine Shepherdess that night. It is a fairly advanced engineering work for its time. It is located on Venezuela Avenue between Simón Rodríguez Avenue and 30th Street in the city of Barquisimeto, capital of the Lara state in Venezuela.
