- 142 Stairways above ground
- hypogeum ( the place for the gladiators and the animals beneath the arena )
- the tunnel which connects the Colosseum with the Ludus Magnus ( the gladiatorial training school ) no pictures
- 80 entrances for the visitors to the Colosseum
- 160 statues
- the box for the emperor and his members in the south
- 240 wooden posts ( to which a solar protection could be fastened )
- 5 tiers ( seating rows )

2. Rank: Members of the knighthood
3rd and 4th rank: Citizen
5. Rank: To impecunious ones, Women
