This is a recreation of the cs_office map from Counter Strike Source. So often used for games like Prop Hunt and Murder, it is one of the most recognizable maps in the game.
This map is not fully finished and isn't 100% accurate. I have moved on to a new one-to-one recreation of CS_Office that is made from scratch. It is currently in the works
This project originally started out from an old map from a server. The server created a somewhat messy version of the cs_office sometime around 2012. A few years later the server started to die and game modes started being removed one by one. I managed to obtain a copy of the world before it was gone forever.
I then set out to completely remake the map. The first step was to clean up what was there. The build quality was all over the place. Cleaning up all the rough edges made for an easier map to work with. A solid third of the work was just spent on clean-up. There were unused areas, floors twice as big as the room, random floating walls outside the map, and more.
Next was to use the newer 1.12 blocks. Prismarine blocks, bone blocks, and stained clay were just a few. This added a breath of fresh air to the map.
Then I set out to fix the dimensions of the map. All of the hallways were either too short or too long. Rooms didn't align were they should. The entire build barely matched a top-down view of the original Counter Strike Map. World Edit was used to shorten or extend many different areas.
The final step was to add all the missing details. Every area got a complete makeover: windows were changed, props were added, and so on. Everything that could look better was made so.
In the end, over 95% of the original blocks had been completely replaced.
For a homebrew Prophunt, equip boots and use a invisibility potion effect to create mini props!
The potion duration can be used as a round timer too.
Invisibility Command:
/effect give @a minecraft:invisibility 200 1 true
Add jump or speed potions to make the game more fun! The map has invisible walls that block a potion up to jump 3.
