The great Dunes of Daria is no stranger to ancient magics and hidden secrets, one being the Darian Catacombs. Once considered a temple of worship, these catacombs were built by the prehistoric Ifrajin, desert spirits capable of manipulating flame and sand. Ancient texts line the walls, its cultures and meanings long lost to time. During the years of steam, after the first steamfuel mining consortiums have been established, explorers and Regina's agents attempted to explore and modernize the temple, as it was theorized that the catacombs contained a passageway deep into steamfuel reservoirs. After many who dared enter suffered one accident after another, as well as the massive political backlash from the natives of the desert, modern efforts to renovate the temple have ceased. The natives warn adventurers of powerful curses and dangerous monsters that lurk in the catacombs, and only the bravest attend to the depths of this ancient temple.
