Die Toteninsel (The Isle of the Dead) is an 1883 painting by Arnold Böcklin.



While playing the game Signalis, I came across this painting, and there was something mesmerizing about it, especially with the soundtrack in the background. The game had a very atmospheric feel, and this painting really stuck with me. I decided to recreate it in Minecraft. Unfortunately, you can only see one side of the island, so I had to use my imagination for the rest. I think I managed to recreate the island quite well, but I’m not ready to make it available for download just yet—maybe later, but not now.



I highly recommend checking out the game Signalis; it really left a lasting impression on me, just like its soundtracks did.
