Dortule Trader's Town

This is Dortule, a small trading and fishing port built on a small rocky island. 

Originally, Dortule was just a small island fortification protecting the coastline of the kingdom. The castle remained the only structure on the island for a very long time. Then, during a period of war and invasion, people from the surrounding unfortified towns and villages fled their homes to settle around the base of the castle for protection. The people built with whatever they could find, often debris and things they found floating in the sea, resulting in the town's colorful appearance.


Now, it is a hub for all local trading; goods from the nearby farms and mines get sent here before being shipped to places all over the kingdom. Despite its small size, it has a very large and diverse population that consists of people from all over the world.
