I recently came across a situation in which I needed to be able to swap inputs to two pathways based on a condition - meaning A needed to become B and B needed to become A. The simple solution is using two multiplexers, however the execution is a bit trickier. I came up with a 2-wide stackable design that only adds 1 tick of delay (from the multiplexer itself). Technically each cell is three wide, but they stack in such a way that the overlap allows for 2 wide stackability. I've included a download for a stackable unit (4 wide because the cells stack in pairs). Hopefully someone else will find this useful!
