The Duran Marshes connect the center region with the northern lands of Valeros. It used to be the Duran Wetlands until the dwarfs of the north erected a heavy dam with the goal of draining the water to find treasures hidden in the ground. And though they never found any treasures, they released dangerous toxic gases and creatures that until then, had been detained by the waters.



Centuries later these lands are home to witches and their minions. Passing travelers dare not to venture far from the main path. The few brave ones that tried exploring the marches soon were to be found returning insane or did not return at all.
