Same here, the larger ones really have a massive wow factor, but don't allow as much diversity but instead force you to toil on it for however long. The end result is always impressive, but getting there is pretty difficult due to the time needed to make something detailed and perfect. Small builds are more casual, don't demand as much time and allow you to work on multiple ones at the same time, taking ideas from each one. Not to say that you couldn't work on something large and small at the same time, but I sometimes get the feeling I have to finish the larger project before I can work in earnest on the smaller thing...
