Hello,

this is an elephant.
For a bigger, mechanical elephant take a look at The Gardener of Hell.
I also made a Giraffe and a Crocodile.

Enjoy!

The floating tusks are a little strange, also I am in 1.21.1 so I have deepslate, added it in to make it feel more alive :D

Well, ideally the tusks should attach to the upside down stone stair in the middle of them and maybe even tilt down or outwards a little, but that's not possible in Minecraft (okay, maybe with display entities it would be possible), so best I could do is the floating tusks xD
Or how would you have done it?

Oh yeah, the deepslate is a good idea! You're always welcome to customize my builds to your needs :)
The way I post them is just one way they can be done.

Ahhh I gotcha, I love them I also was wondering if a block behind might make it work? but then they got fat cheeks? I haven't tested, yet.

I built a few of them on a server, and I'll be adding a larger set for parents :D

Yeah, the "fat cheeks" problem is what I encountered, too xD
In the end I decided it looked best with the floating tusks because this keeps the elephant's head's shape intact and doesn't alter it too much to the point where it looks weird.

But I mean you're welcome to test and try everything on your mind to make them not float anymore :)
I don't claim what I post is the best version ever, it's just the best version I could come up with at that time.
Now, time has passed and maybe there is a better way to do it. So try all you want, maybe you find a better version :)
This is how innovation works ^^

That's great! Would you like to show me the parents maybe? I'm really curious what they look like :D

Oooh! Branching out! Maybe... try a Trailer house?

If you ever run out of vehicles to build, there's always houses.

Yeah, I wanted to try some animals in small scale :)
Maybe you should know that I started making vehicles only because I was fed up with building houses xD
So, what I'm most likely not gonna do is build a house, even if it sits on wheels. It still looks too much like a house :P
And to be honest, I really don't think I'm ever gonna run out of vehicles to build because there are sooo many different ones ^^
Thanks for showing this idea to me anyways!

Haha xD I don't know, I just wondered if it was possible to make an elephant in Minecraft at a playable scale, so I tried. There are some other animals I have in mind that could be interesting for building but I'm not gonna mention them now since I don't know how they will turn out. If they end up recognizeable, I will post them here, if they look just like a pile of blocks, I won't post them, but maybe improve them in the future. So yeah, hopefully, I will be able to upload some more animals xD

Thanks! Yeah, detailing was interesting. If I put too few detail into it, it looked flat and if I put too much detail into it, it looked like a machine or robot elephant. A mechanical steampunk elephant would be a cool idea of its own actually xD
